Giving Thanks at our House

Here's some pics from our Thanksgiving week.  It was quiet - which was gladly welcomed - and we simply enjoyed being together.  We had many opportunities to ponder upon all our many blessings.

We spent a lot of time in our p.j.'s ... and we LOVED it!

 This may not look like a happy face to you but this is an enormous improvement for Connor.

 The fact that he will just sit and play with something for a time is huge to us.  For so long this didn't happen.  We had much to be grateful for this Thanksgiving!

 Connor enjoyed the turkey!  Of course there's not much right now that he doesn't enjoy eating...

I almost caught one of Connor's smiles on camera.  He's starting to smile a bit more now.  I think as we continue to ween him off the steroid, his smiles will come back.  Hopefully a  lot of smiles in the coming weeks will thin out those cheeks!

 On Friday, we went to the annual Holly Days here in Vernal.  It was cold, but we were impressed!  

It was a lot of fun and we plan on doing even more next year.  

Riding the Polar Express "train" (a tractor pulling these little wagons behind it).  Hey, rednecks can improvise and have fun too!  Andrew noted the lack of tracks but seemed impressed that this train can drive on the same road as the cars and trucks.

There were camels there!  We didn't have Andrew ride one because the line was long and we needed to get Connor and Mason out of the cold... but next year!  I want to ride one!

Andrew noted, with excitement, that camels eat grass.  

 We did brave the line for a pony ride. 

 But then quickly headed home for some hot chocolate!!
