so i've got a bunch of cute pics that we took later in the summer but i never got them up on the blog. hopefully i can get most of them up fairly soon...
late in august we went out the the greeley stake farm and picked sweet corn. our church has several stake farms in our area and we usually get to take advantage of their overabundance of sweet corn. we went out on monday evening and picked and then blanched and froze it all the next night. it was work but well worth it! plus mason and i noticed we're either getting quicker at freezing all the corn or we just didn't pick as much this year. maybe a little bit of both.
andrew, of course, was right in the middle of everything!
look at his bug bites! he was moving so much that i couldn't get a good pic with our slower camera but you get the idea. as you can see, the bug spray i used didn't help much. i've got some new stuff to try now (next season i guess) so we'll see if that helps at all.
