what's been going on

things have been crazy lately in the taggart household. between house stuff and health stuff, things have been busy. but we're doing well in spite of the busyness. andrew started walking!! this video is almost two weeks old (see, we've been busy!) but it's still fun to watch. he's not putting his hands in the air as much when he walks and i kind of miss it. it's pretty cute!

note: please excuse the annoying voice at the end of the video. it sounds like i'm being sarcastic or something but i wasn't!

but due to the walking, andrew now has his fair share of bumps and bruises. i thought he took some bad spills learning to stand but that was nothing. everytime i turn around he's tripping and face planting right into the table or the book shelves. yesterday he fell on his little rocking chair and i thought forsure it would be a black eye... but we lucked out. you can't really tell how beat up his face is in the pics which is good. i was nervous to take him to the grocery store this morning worried that someone would think i abused him.

he's also started talking a bit. mostly we can't understand a word he's saying but we can tell when he's trying to say stuff. he's pretty consistant at saying hi, yeah, ba (for ball) and ba (for banana). i've heard him say daddy, baby, mama and i'm pretty sure doggie once but he won't say those consistantly yet. if he talks as much as he babbles, we're going to have a talker on our hands! we've taught him to throw a ball which is fun but then he used it against us in church on sunday when we started throwing his toys around. we're still working on the reverence issue and wish he were taller so we could sneak him into nursery. he's in a really fun stage right now and we're really enjoying it. :)

and lastly, andrew's fasinaction with the trash has reached new levels. now he's learned that he can put stuff in the trash too. yesterday i was cleaning up the kitchen after lunch and noticed this in the kitchen trash. he's little paw is covered in avacado and strawberries. i guess andrew doesn't like him that much.
