its the most wonderful time of the year!

i am feeling so jolly today! (i don't think i've ever said that before!) it's just that it's snowing outside and it's cozy inside and i'm sipping on my herbal chai tea (my no sugar hot chocolate substitute) and listening to christmas carols and i feel good so i'm thinking of baking some bread this afternoon .... it's just the joys that come with december and the holiday season ! what a wonderful time of year!



we put up the christmas decorations last weekend. anders had a fun time watching us and helping us unpack. it will be even more fun the older he gets. this is a hallmark decoration that the nurses at the NICU gave anders last year for christmas. it plays a song and the characters move and the lights flash so anders loves it! if you'll remember, anders spent christmas in the hospital last year. we are so very thankful for him and thankful that he is healthy and growing well. what a blessing he is to us! after i spent days thinking of 100 things i'm thankful for, the last few days that's all i can think about! i probably have 20 or so more that i could add to the list. like i always say, nothing boosts your spirits like counting your blessings! (that's a joke that only mason will get and he doesn't even read this! i don't really always say that but i should because it's true).
