preggo, preggy, preggers

most of my fun and productive plans for the summer came to a screeching halt just after the 4th of july when i finally realized i was pregnant. i say finally because if i'd been paying attention i might have realized it sooner but i kept thinking that all the weirdness i was feeling was due to stress. see that was the week that mason went through the whole food poisoning ordeal... so when i finally put two and two together, mason and i were very excited! a little surprised but very excited!!

and then i got sick.

super sick. well, i guess it could have been a lot worse but it took me a while to figure that out too. i didn't realize this at the time but it's very common for people with fibromyalgia to have a worsening of symptoms with pregnancy. so not only was i nauseous and stuff from being pregnant but i had all the fibro stuff on top of it. so i moped and complained for a while before finally trying to do something about it. there wasn't too much i physically could do but once i knew i wasn't the only one to experience this, i started feeling better about things if only that my mental outlook was different. there's a lot of people dealing with chronic illnesses, i'm by no means the only one and i took a lot of comfort from knowing that others have gone through this too. this fibro stuff isn't the least bit convenient but it appears that it will be my cross to bear for awhile so i've got to learn to live with it. at least i learned that if i kept my tummy full i could fight off the nausea and dizziness. so if i gain 75 lbs from this pregnancy, so be it. at least i'll feel good!

i start my second trimester on monday so a lot of symptoms are already lessening quite a bit and our household is very excited about that! every. single. one of us. so now we start getting ready!! and i have a lot of stuff to catch up on, like my blog.

oh, and by the way, i'm due march 15th. we're going to make it to march this time! :)
