we had the craziest storm last night! and i didn't think it was even supposed to rain! the lightning was illuminating the sky almost constantly and i don't think i've ever heard rolling thunder like that before. it's hard to tell what it was like from the pics but we had a 'river' of water going down the street in front of our house.
we had a bunch of hail too but thankfully it didn't destroy anything. mason wanted to move his car into the garage just to be safe. i volunteered to do it because i thought it would be fun to be out in the storm for a minute but that hail hurt! getting pelted with hail wasn't as fun as i thought it would be.
a very thoughtful friend called to let us know that we were in a flash flood warning (and then called again to tell us about the tornado warning) because we don't have tv. that's one downside to not having tv, we don't get the weather warnings. since moving a little further away from the mountains, my childhood fear of tornados has been rekindled.
it was dark outside but the lightning kept lighting up the sky so it looks earlier than it was. it was a fun storm! i just wished i wouldn't have been so nervous about a tornado... i kept wondering if we should wake anders up and get in the basement. yes, somehow anders slept through the whole thing!

That is what it is like when it rains in Maryland... I am still getting used to it. But they don't have electrical storms like the ones out West. Cool pics you should send them into Channel 9!
