yesterday andrew and i sat down to have our lunch and as usual, he was starving. he's always ready to jump right in and eat (only to proclaim 1 min. later that he's done... but anyway), but i've been trying to hold him back just long enough to have a quick blessing on the food. so yesterday he was reaching and lunging for the food and i said, "hold on, first let's have a prayer." to which he replied, "no!". what an obedient child! i tried to get him to fold his arms but he won't usually do it unless the stars and the moons are all aligned correctly. so i gave up, folded my arms and then bowed my head. even though he won't fold his arms, anders has started to bow his head (slightly) and then he'll mumble some gibberish under his breath while we pray. after we say amen, he'll sometimes say, "ama" which we're assuming is amen.
so yesterday, i start saying the prayer and anders started his gibberish and after about 2 seconds of that he yells, "ama!!". i smiled but tried not to laugh and finished my prayer. i opened my eyes and gave anders a big hug and told him how proud i was of him. although i have no idea what he said, i'm certain that Heavenly Father understands gibberish!
