happy thanksgiving!

we're in craig for thanksgiving and we've really had a great time. it's the last time i can come home before i have the baby so i'm really grateful for this time. mason and i helped my mom with all the dinner preparations and we had a lot of fun doing so. my two little brothers and my youngest sister are here too so we've had a lot of fun with them. they always make me laugh with all their stories and antics.

mason and i brined a turkey which is something i've been wanting to do for a couple years now. if you don't know, brining is when you soak a turkey in a salt brine overnight before roasting it. i've heard wonderful things about doing it and let me just say that we weren't disappointed. it was so tender and juicy... it started falling off the bone while we were roasting it (which is bad if you want it for the centerpiece but we weren't going for that so it was ok!) if anyone is interested in the recipe, just let me know. i highly recommend it! :)
